What Started It All...
In 1933, August A. Busch Jr. surprised his father with a wonderful gift, the origional Clydesdale hitch team, and the Budweiser beer wagon. Later, at the end of Prohibition, the Clydesdale team was sent to New York City, where two cases of Budweiser were formally given to Governor Al Smith. The same team was sent over to Washington, where they presented two more cases to Frankling D. Roosevelt, at the White House. That's how the famous Budweiser Clydesdales came to be what it is today.
